Completely Wooden Bicycle
55 year old Peijia Wu is a carpenter in Shandong Chinese village. It would take a month of his pay to pay for a metal bicycle. Instead he created a completely wooden bike. It took him 3 months to build his wooden bike. It has no metal parts whatsoever. The joints are fixed with small wooden bungs and a wooden rod-crank system. I can’t see the bike lasting very long, but he can fix it if need be.

I hope he sanded that seat…it sure wouldn’t be fun to get a splinter in that region of your body!
