Facebook has become so popular that it is no longer only is a way to connect with your friends but also has become the platform to promote your business. People are addicted to Facebook and it is very hard to not use it for your social media needs.

Here is the list of 3 things that you don’t know about Facebook:

1. History about Domain Name:
Facebook was created by Mark Zuckerberg and his four college roommates.. The service was started as Facemash and was limited to only the students of Harvard in its early days.
The great social networking site was registered as “Thefacebook.com” in 2003 and after some time word “the” was removed from domain name and “Facebook.com” was purchased for about $200,000. Recently Facebook had purchased “fb.com” $8.5 million.

2. Popularity
Facebook has a huge network of about 800 million registered users which is 11 percent of World’s population. Facebook is based in America but the majority users are not from this country. Facebook is found to be popular among the users of other countries as well.
Popular Than Google in Many Countries:
Alexa is a web information company which provides rank to all the websites according to their popularity. Facebook is number 2 according to Alexa and comes after the Google.com. But it is more popular than Google in many countries. Countries such as Argentina, Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Egypt, Colombia, Greece are the countries in which Google is behind Facebook.

3. Part of your Life:
Facebook is no longer only the way to connect with your friends but it has become the part of your life as well. Many people are not using it as just a Social Site but also as measurement of relationships. If one forgets to like one’s friend status or photo then it results in making them upset with each other. Many important decisions are made on Facebook and Political parties are using it as a resource to connect with their constituency.

Author bio:
Raj is writing for a Web Design Company that offers high quality Web Designing in Qatar, Dubai and Middle East

Weighing in at 1.18 lbs. and having a thickness of 0.3 inches, the Toshiba Excite X10 is touted as the thinnest tablet in the world.

Even though it may be light in the hands, the tablet is heavy on the hardware features. Contained within is a Texas Instrument OMAP 4420 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM. The backlit 10-inch screen’s resolution comes in at 1280×800, has ten finger multi-touch support, and is covered in Corning Gorilla Glass providing it with an extra tough scratch resistant surface.

But it doesn’t stop there in features, a front-facing 2 megapixel camera is present for video chat, and a 5 megapixel camera can be found on the back for taking photos or recording videos in 720p. Don’t let the thin size of the tablet fool you either, Toshiba has loaded it with slots. There’s access to a mini HDMI port, a micro SD card slot, and a micro USB slot as well.

The device may not be 3G enabled, but it does have built in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS to boot.

As far as the operating system is concerned, Toshiba stated it will either ship during mid-first quarter of 2012 with Google’s Android 3.2 Honeycomb, or later with the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. This will satisfy those on the go by running all of their favorite Android apps from Angry Birds to streaming Directv directly to the device.

The Toshiba Excite X10 will cost around $530 for the 16 GB model or $600 for the 32 GB version. While the price point is a concern, Toshiba hopes this feature rich, thin, lightweight tablet will take some of the share of the tablet market.

You can call him from Gmail and leave him a message or you can use a standard cell phone or land line. Tell him what you want for Christmas. Um, I want world peace and a choo choo train. Santa will keep you updated on the latest activities in the North Pole every day. You can also create your own message that you want Santa to send to any of your friends or little people. It’s free to talk to Santa in the US, but overseas callers will have to pay a penny a minute and taxes.
