Fujisoft’s PALRO robot the personal concierge has a female voice with voice recognition, can take pictures and send them to your phone or computer and can also read you the weather. The robot is powered by an Atom Z530 processor with 4GB flash storage running on Ubuntu.

The PALRO is available for educational and research institutions for about $3,600.

ACE bot was developed by researchers at the Technical University of Munich. The robot asks for directions as it moves through the city. People point in the direction the robot needs to go and the robot figures out the path to it’s destination. The robot was able to reach its destination which was 1.5 kilometers away in five hours after relying on directions from 38 people.
