Logitech has come out a new range of next generation of webcam technology that deliver full 1080p HD video, onboard H.264 compression and USB Video Class (UVC) driver-less install.

Logitech worked with Skype to deliver true 1080p videoconferencing at a maximum 30 frames per second. Logitech says they have overcome the video quality drops to a level that makes video meetings acceptable. The advanced H.264 hardware encoding capability and video compression is managed within the webcam without having to place more stress on the computer’s processor, helping smooth video up further.

The new Google Galaxy Nexus isn’t available in the US just yet, but it should be coming very soon. It is however available in the United Kingdom through several retailers. Checkout the video commercial and the specifications below. It will come with Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android.

It has a 320×240 screen that looks excellent. It has navigation buttons that you can use to switch between a system monitor, clock, and custom background. You can also bring up a YouTube video on the screen. The screen plays back great and the controls are simple to use and responsive. Unfortunately the keyboard is delayed until May 2009. Price $199.99, subject to change.

Guy yells at his jbod (just a bunch of drives) and his latency goes up because of the vibration caused. The data center is already loud and this guy isn’t much louder, but it does make a difference. Funny illustrations and all it’s pretty funny to watch.
