Get Windows 8 Consumer Preview
Get Windows 8 Consumer Preview now. Download an iso and create a disk so that you can load the consumer preview. Seems like the Metro interface is more for tablets than it is for desktops.

Windows 7 SP1 Available Today
Windows 7 SP1 is available later today, but I wouldn't get it until the potential bugs are worked out of it. Microsoft tests the service packs, but sometimes they can cause problems so wait a bit.
