Ancient IBM Thinkpad 2603 dropped off at my office today
A customer of mine came by the office today and dropped off this ancient laptop, an IBM Thinkpad 2603. I tried to find specs on it to no avail. The screen is about 7.5 inches by 4.5 inches. Cool IBM Netbook, huh? I was able to find one on Ebay for 99 cents. Check out the pictures of the 2603 below:
I found the specifications:
Model | 2603-17N |
Operating System | DOS, Windows 3.1, OS2 |
CPU | IBM 486SLC2 50/25 |
RAM | 4-12Mb |
Hard drive | 80 or 170 Mb (The 8N or 17N denotes the drive size) |
I got one of those and could figure out what model it is until i type the number as “2603 images” on google and it brought me straight here. It is true its an ancient one huh! I’m trying to find a AC power charger for this one why i’m trying to figure out what model first!
I don’t have a power adaptor for this one either. Would be interesting to see if it worked. Oh Well. Ebay might work.
Ihave one charger and all. It works but when its ready, anything I type makes it tell me ‘bad command or file name’ and I don remember anything about those computer languages enuff 2 work it.
