According to Bloomberg’s sources the operating system will go on sale around October. Windows 8 is also said to be rolled out on both Intel and ARM devices. Getting it our before Christmas will certainly help their sales. A tablet with Windows 8 would probably work pretty well. On the other hand the Metro interface isn't as refined as I hope it will be by launch time. Please bring back the start button and allow just the desktop instead of the Metro interface.
Microsoft is also hosting an event for industry partners in early April to show their strategy for Windows 8. Who is going to buy a new Windows 8 computer or a Windows 8 tablet this year?
